People love to tell single moms to “follow their dreams.”
They rarely tell us when.
Between work, laundry, grocery shopping, doctor’s appointments, and trying to remember the last time you drank your coffee while it was still hot, creating something like a book or an online course can feel impossible.
You might even think:
“Maybe someday, when life slows down.”
But here’s what I’ve learned…
Life rarely slows down.
If we wait for the perfect season, we’ll still be waiting five years from now.
Instead, I’ve learned to build businesses around real life, not around some imaginary version of it where everything is quiet, organized, and under control.
If you’re carrying knowledge, experience, or a story that could help someone else, you don’t need more time.
You need a better strategy.
Stop Waiting for a Blank Calendar
One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves is that successful creators have hours of uninterrupted time every day.
Most don’t.
Especially women.
Especially moms.
Many bestselling books, online courses, and successful businesses were built in twenty-minute pockets between everyday life.
Not because their creators had more time.
Because they used the time they had.
Your lunch break.
Waiting in the school parking lot.
An evening after the kids are asleep.
Voice notes while folding laundry.
Small moments become finished projects when you stop underestimating them.

Your Knowledge Is Already Valuable
You don’t need another certification before helping people.
You don’t need permission.
Ask yourself:
- What do people constantly ask me for help with?
- What have I survived that someone else is still walking through?
- What systems have made my own life easier?
- What lessons would have saved me years of frustration?
Those answers are the beginning of your next product.
Maybe it’s:
- a devotional
- a recipe collection
- a budgeting workbook
- a planner
- a printable
- a children’s book
- an online course
- a coaching workbook
- a digital toolkit
Your experience already has value.
One Idea Can Become an Entire Business
One mistake I see women make is believing they need dozens of ideas.
They don’t.
One strong idea can become multiple income streams.
Imagine you’ve created a book about rebuilding your confidence after divorce.
That same message could also become:
- a companion workbook
- a printable journal
- a mini-course
- a live workshop
- a coaching program
- a membership resource
- a summit presentation
- a podcast episode
- dozens of blog posts
- social media content for months
You’re not creating from scratch every time.
You’re expanding one message into multiple ways people can learn from you.
Done Is Better Than Perfect
Can I tell you a secret?
My first products weren’t perfect.
Neither were my first blog posts.
Or my first videos.
Or my first workshops.
But every imperfect thing I published taught me something.
Perfection doesn’t create momentum.
Publishing does.
Version one teaches you how to build version two.

Collaboration Will Grow Your Business Faster Than Isolation
This is where so many women miss an incredible opportunity.
They think they have to grow their audience completely on their own.
You don’t.
Some of the fastest growth comes through collaboration.
Being featured in bundles.
Speaking at summits.
Writing collaborative books.
Guest teaching.
Podcast interviews.
Cross-promotions.
When you borrow each other’s audiences, everyone grows together.
Community beats competition every single time.
Resources That Can Help You Get Started
If writing a book has been on your heart, I highly recommend checking out Authors Allies Roundtable by Rebecca Hallbach Paciorek. It’s a wonderful community for aspiring and experienced authors who want guidance, accountability, and encouragement throughout the writing journey.
And once you’ve created your first digital product, don’t let it sit quietly on your website hoping someone discovers it.
One of my favorite ways to grow visibility is through bundles. That’s why I recommend Bundle Like a Boss, which teaches entrepreneurs how to get their products into collaborative bundles that can introduce their work to thousands of new people.
Sometimes the fastest path to growth isn’t creating more.
It’s getting your existing work in front of more of the right people.

Your Story Matters More Than You Think
There is someone waiting for the lesson you’ve already learned.
Someone praying for the solution you’ve already lived.
Someone searching for the encouragement you’ve been carrying for years.
Don’t let “I don’t have time” become the reason your story never reaches them.
Write one page.
Record one lesson.
Design one printable.
Take one step.
Momentum is built one faithful decision at a time.
Your future business isn’t created in giant leaps.
It’s built in the small moments you choose not to give up.
Re-emerge & Rise Challenge
Before you close this page, answer this question:
If you had just 20 minutes today, what would you start creating?
A book?
A workbook?
A course?
A journal?
A digital download?
Don’t wait for the perfect season.
Start building in the one you’re already living.
Because warriors don’t wait for perfect conditions.
They re-emerge and rise… because warriors do it better. 💜
